Granola is a favorite food that I eat every day as part of my Best Breakfast. My ideal granola is crisp, fat-free, not very sweet but loaded with flavor and raw ingredients. To achieve this ideal granola, homemade is the answer. It is so simple to make granola and there is no end to the flavor and ingredient variations.
Cherry Pistachio Granola

I picked up some organic raw pistachios at Trader Joe's and had some delicious dried organic sour cherries at home so I combined the two flavors and made a delicious granola. This is my new favorite!

Pumpkin Granola

This delicious pumpkin granola is loaded with good things and is made from canned pumpkin, maple syrup, apple juice, oats, oat bran, pumpkin seeds, flaxseed meal, cranberries and currants.
This is wonderful combined with a diced apple and pumpkin yogurt in Best Breakfast style.

Chai Spice Granola

Using tea is a great way to infuse foods with flavor. This morning I made a chai granola by mixing strong chai tea, additional spices and honey with oats then baking them. To finish the granola I added in raw almonds, flaxseed meal, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. This is Wilson's favorite.
